Supported receiving currencies and payment rails

Ostro describes supported funding, receiving and payout flows in six core fiat currencies. Availability can differ by direction, customer type, payer, jurisdiction and partner activation.

A currency being listed does not mean that every rail is enabled for every account. In particular, FedNow payout access requires partner enablement and a recipient bank that supports the rail.

Receiving and funding are different

A payment from your own eligible bank account is a first-party funding flow. A client or employer payment is a third-party receiving flow. They can have different payer and account requirements even when the currency is the same.

Follow the instructions for the specific flow you intend to use. Do not assume that approval in one direction grants approval in the other.

Requesting another currency

Eligible approved accounts may receive a standard USD account after partner setup. Other receiving currencies can require a separate request and administrator approval, followed by partner issuance.

If the request option is available, submit it in your workspace. Approval does not guarantee issuance where the financial partner cannot support the route.
