Can I send money from my own account?

Funding from your own eligible account may be available where the route supports first-party flows and your account has been approved. Use only the funding instructions shown for that purpose in your workspace.

Check the payer requirements

The sending account generally needs to meet the ownership and name requirements for your route. A business sending from its own account and an individual sending personal funds can be assessed differently.

If the payer is a client, employer, friend or family member, it is not the same as funding from your own account. Confirm that the relevant third-party payment type is permitted before sending.

Follow the specific instructions

Check the currency, rail, beneficiary and reference fields. Do not copy details from a different currency or assume that an account supporting ACH also supports every other transfer method.

If a fintech service or bank cannot use the required method, contact support before substituting another route.

Location restrictions still apply

First-party funding can have different restrictions from third-party receiving. For example, the published regional guidance for Texas limits supported orchestration to first-party flows and excludes partner custody. This does not automatically establish a usable Ostro route for every Texas customer.

Check the country directory and the actual options in your workspace. Funding may be subject to review, limits and source-of-funds questions.
