Resetting a forgotten password

Recover your password through the official login flow.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Request a password reset through the official app and use the newest email link. Resetting a password does not remove an authenticator requirement.

People accessing or protecting their Ostro account.

Use the password-reset option on the official Ostro login page. Enter the email address associated with your account and follow the instructions in the reset email.

If the email does not arrive

Check spam and any inbox filters, confirm the address you entered and allow time for delivery. Avoid requesting multiple resets in quick succession.

If a link has expired or was already used, request a new one through the official flow. Do not forward a reset link to another person; it can provide access to your account.

Choose a new password

Use a strong, unique password that you do not use for your email or another service. A reputable password manager can help create and store it securely.

Changing your Ostro password does not secure an email account that has also been compromised. Protect your email account as well if you suspect unauthorised access.

Password reset does not remove an authenticator

You may still need your authenticator after resetting a password. If the authenticator is lost, contact support for account recovery.

Support will not ask you to send your current password, reset link or one-time sign-in code by email.
