In this guide
Ostro is designed for people and businesses receiving legitimate international payments. Access depends on your location, verification outcome, account type and the proposed payment route.
Individuals
Freelancers, independent professionals, remote workers and contractors may use available receiving details for eligible client or employer payments. Users must be adults and meet the applicable verification and eligibility requirements.
An individual account must represent you. Do not register using another person’s identity or present a personal account as belonging to a separate business entity.
Businesses and agencies
An authorised representative can apply for a business. Verification may cover the legal entity, operating address, business activity, ownership and the people who control or represent it.
Do not assume that a business account includes shared team access, bulk payouts, cards, accounting integrations or other features that are not shown as available in your workspace.
Marketplace sellers and international earners
A marketplace, platform or employer must accept the specific receiving details and payment rail available to you. Account-name rules and permitted payer types can differ. Ostro does not claim an integration with, or acceptance by, every marketplace.
Before applying, check your country and review the Acceptable Use Policy. Being located in a supported country is the beginning of eligibility, not a guarantee of approval.
