I used the wrong stablecoin, network or wallet address

What to do after an unsupported asset, wrong network or destination mistake.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Stop further transfers and contact Ostro promptly with the transaction hash, asset, network and destination. Recovery may be impossible and is never guaranteed.

Applies to
People who have already submitted a digital-asset transfer with incorrect details.

Preserve the transaction details

Record the transaction hash, actual asset and network used, amount and time. Compare the destination with the instructions you intended to use.

A matching-looking address does not establish network compatibility. USDC on one network is not interchangeable with USDC on another for payment routing.

Contact support

Tell Ostro what was sent and what the expected route was. If an exchange or wallet provider sent the funds, keep its withdrawal reference too.

Do not send another asset to “unlock” the first transfer. Do not pay a person claiming they can guarantee recovery.

What recovery depends on

Blockchain transfers generally cannot be cancelled after confirmation. An unsupported asset-network pair, incorrect address or missing required destination identifier may result in permanent loss. Any investigation depends on the actual route and the destination provider’s capabilities.

Protect your wallet

Never provide a seed phrase, private key, authenticator code or remote access to your device. Support does not need those secrets to examine a public transaction hash.

Before future transfers, confirm the exact supported asset-network pair and verified destination shown in your workspace.
